Just me this week - Alyssa - since super soccer star Gregory is off at some soccer showcase event, and Jake in "under the weather" with a fever/cough/cold. What a baby!
There were slim pickings this week. I think our library is holding out on me. There's a whole conspiracy against me I'm sure of it!
Bought this for our Kindle Fire to read before the movie arrives.
Gotta admit, I'm actually loving e-books. I was skeptical.
Picked this up from the library.
I know I requested more, but this one was the only one waiting for me. Ah, the woes of living in the middle of nowhere.
The Black Butler Volume I and II
Gifted to me by an awesome friend who knows my embarrassingly deep love of this anime.
Got this baby because we're reviewing it for an upcoming tour with Mundie Moms. So excited to start reading it!
That was it. I'll take quality over quantity any day though.
Been a busy week because we've been getting ready for two big events. The biggest is...
It's Jake's birthday! Yep, today he's 19 years old. A fact I doubt when his best comeback is, "Well...your FACE!"
I've spent all month trying to find the perfect gift for him and thank goodness Ash over at Smash Attack Reads tweeted about a zombie infested obstacle course. That's right, ZOMBIE INFESTED.

It's a ways off, but I got tickets for Jake, some of his friends, me, and Gregory to go. It looks so awesome!
Our second major event?
Natalie over at Mindful Musings is kicking off the Demons at Deadnight blog tour where we're giving away a bunch of prizes everyday, and at the end of the tour, a Kindle Fire along with a couple other awesome things. You just have to stick around to find out.
Where else will you find people who give you free stuff AND tell you about zombie infested obstacle courses?
Hope all your Sunday is IMMazing!

You've got some great stuff there, and I hear you loud and clear about the quality over quantity thing. I really like my Kindle, but I think I'll be upgrading to a Fire when / if they become available for Canada. I miss color covers and I'm hoping that will get me off the physical book kick that I have. :p Anyway, have a great week. :)
Awesome IMM! Both of my parents have Kindle Fire's and LOVE them. Personally, I have a Nook Tablet and LOVE it....It's my precious. I bet you'll be downloading the other two books in The Hunger Games trilogy soon after finishing the first book. It's just one of those series that you have to see through to the end!
Here's the link to my IMM...

Happy Birthday Jake! And I'm excited for your Blog Tour, I'm sure it will be tons of fun!
Oh and you haven't read the Hunger Games yet? Then... you sure have to!
:) Happy Sunday!
OOO, what a present! ;))) I hope you tell us all about it afterwards :) I'm checking out that anime asap, and hope you enjoy all your books!
That event is awesome. He's going to love it. ;) who doesnt love to run around when zombies are going to attack you. ;) Have a lot of fun & Happy reading.
YAY!! I'm so excited you're going to be on the blog tour. I hope you enjoy Untraceable! Happy Reading!
Cool blog tour! I just get Demons at Deadnight!! I can't wait to read it!

I still like my hard copies better, but the Fire is pretty cool. I def like having the colored covers. Hope you can get one soon!
My aunt has a Nook and loves it too. I think she's even had is surgically attached to her hand. I bet I will be downloading the rest. When we moved, Jake packed his hunger games books somewhere VERY clever.
Jake says thanks!
It should be tons of fun! I'm excited.
I just haven't had the time to read them! It hasn't killed me only because Jake read them. And the way he constantly talks about them, I've practically listened to them on audio. He has a crazy memory, can recite every line from the Matrix perfectly.
I think we'll video tap the whole thing. Jake can show you guys the highlights. Like me screaming like a 2 year old. Hope you like the anime. The manga is awesome too. But Jake is saying I'm weird, so maybe you shouldn't trust me.
I hope he does. His friends were hesitant, but apparently I'm more terrifying than a zombie infested race, because I got them to say yes. Mwahaha!
I'm happy too! Untraceable just sounds so good! Looking forward to getting started!!
Cool :) I do wanna read some of those
Thanks it took a lot to set up, but the blogging community is AWESOME! They do the coolest things. And thanks for picking it up! You rock!
I'll be waiting for your reviews on them then!
the butler book looks fun!
I really need to read the Hunger Games series, I don't know why it's not done yet, I hope it will be the case one day but I'll definitely watch the movie.
My IMM
Who wouldn't want a demon butler that magically caters to your every wish? Am I right?
You absolutely have to read the Hunger Games! It's incredible! Which probably sounds weird since I'm only half way through the first book, but I know this series inside and out courtesy of Jake. If you don't want to read it, you can just sit near him and mention the Games and in half an hour you'll know it better than anyone that's read it. LOL
Ooh I like the sound of the zombie obstacle course. We have a zombie paintball one near us - but I'm not keen on having paintball welts all over my body. (But maybe you are supposed to shoot the zombies and not each other...therefore I kinda feel bad for the zombies now.) Happy Birthday to Jake, good luck to Gregory, and you and I Alyssa need to sit back and read The Girl of Fire and Thorns! It's just sitting on my shelf being neglected.

The Hunger Games is so epicly awesome!! :) I've recently finished it too before the movie releases! I hope you enjoy it like I did!
Happy reading!!
Aw, happy birthday to Jake. Hope he's feeling better soon! (and, my best comeback is usually "no, you are!" so I have no room to comment...)
Definitely quality over quantity, and you have some GOOD quality books in there. I loved The Hunger Games and The Girl of Fire and Thorns. Hope you enjoy!
Great set! Hope you love The Hunger Games. I really enjoyed Girl of Fire and Thorns.
My IMM
I am so looking forward to the Blog Tour!
Happy Birthday Jake!
The Zombie Run is going to be fun...
Oh, that zombie infested obstacle course looks awesome. Happy Birthday Jake!
I've only read The Hunger Games from the series but I loved it. The Girl of Fire and Thorns is pretty good too. I've got an e-copy of Untraceable but since I haven't read it, I'll keep an eye out for your review to see what you thought about it.
ha ha! That zombie course looks so fun. Plus, now I know who to hide with when it happens. You don't mind me using you as a shield, right?
Happy Birthday Jake! Oh I could teach you a few comebacks, but I am so going to use yours next time! LOL
Happy Birthday & Get Well Jake! :)
Good luck Greg!
I really need to read The Girl of Fire and Thorns.
