Jag is egotistical, charismatic, and dangerous--everything Zenn's not. Vi can't quite trust Jag and can't quite resist him, but she also can't give up on Zenn.

This is a game of control or be controlled. And Vi has no choice but to play.

POSSESSION is a complex, intriguing ride. Vi is snarky, rebellious and full of spunk -- everything I want in a heroine. Her love interests, the sexy Jag and awesome Zenn, were great. I was a Zenn fan all the way until we started reaching the end and Jag shone brighter.

Great world-building gave me a strong sense of the dystopian landscape without being overboard and bogging down the pace.

And I love that POSSESSION made me think.

As the plot moves along, you realize with Vi that the Goodies (good guys) aren't really good and the Baddies (bad guys) aren't all that bad. Everyone has their own motives towards what they think is the greater good and what they're willing to do to get there. Everyone fell into shades of gray.

What I liked about Vi is that once she figured out where she stood, she made tough decisions and stuck to her morals. A great lesson for us all!

POSSESSION was jam-packed with twists I didn't see coming, even to the very end. So many aspects of manipulation make it extremely hard to decide who and what to trust. It kept me guessing and on my toes!

And the end...well, I can't call it happy. It's a heartbreaker. You could say it leaves a lot of questions but that's not necessarily true. There will be a companion novel out next summer, but there isn't going to be sequel so how it ends gives you all the answers, just not the ones most readers will want.

With strong characters, sexy guys, and tons of twists, POSSESSION is a fun ride. Elana deftly takes readers on an exciting journey where the lines of Good and Bad constantly blur and the infinite Shades of Gray will have you questioning everything!
