Please welcome LEGACY author Cayla Kluver here today as part of her Teen Book Scene blog tour!
I’m looking around my bedroom and trying to decide what exactly it is that makes me me. There’s a stack of true crime books on one side of my bed. On the other side I’ve got books by Jon Stewart, Dan Simmons, and Ann Patchett. On my headboard is a game of Beatles Trivial Pursuit, a stuffed camel, and, inexplicably, a light bulb. I also own a five-foot tall (fake) giraffe named Cujo.

I take personal offense if someone insults my cat, Nina. Of the three pillows on my bed, Nina uses two and I use one. I cannot tell left from right, and sometimes I walk like Ed from Cowboy Bebop.
Those who know me will tell you I am a space head. It’s true. I don’t ignore emails, I forget to answer them. You could leave me twenty messages and I’d forget to call you back. I’m single-minded almost to an art form.
And that’s kind of it, folks. Welcome to the LEGACY blog tour.
~Cayla

The first boy disappeared on the day of his birth, on a night when the pale yellow moon of the nighttime sky turned red and bathed the heavens in the ghastly color of blood, on the same night the Kingdom of Cokyri abruptly ceased its merciless attack.
Across the land of Hytanica, under the shadow of the crimson moon, infant boys continued to vanish. Not until the blood had faded from the sky did the disappearances stop and the bodies of the murdered infants were found outside the gates of the city, a final word from the greatest enemy Hytanica had ever known. For the next sixteen years, peace reigned, but one mystery remained unsolved. The Cokyrians had abducted forty-nine newborns, but returned only forty-eight bodies.
Now, as seventeen-year-old Princess Alera of Hytanica is besieged from all sides by suitors vying for the Throne, a teenage Cokyrian boy, Narian, is encountered within the walls of her Kingdom, a boy who will show Alera a world where women serve a purpose and not just a husband. As Narian helps Alera find her voice, she struggles against an arranged marriage that will shatter the life she has scarcely begun to live. And when Narian's shocking past is uncovered, and war with Cokyri looms once more, he must fight to defy a fate ordained at his birth.

Interesting premise!
One thing unique about me... I can so easily get wrapped up in just about any fictional world. Ok, that may not actually be that unique. But I love it. (my husband, not so much) ;o)
Thank you so much for this amazing opportunity!!!
I would have to say that I am really good at reading other people's emotions. I know that it may not be unique, but it's something I've been told a lot.
I'm not a cat lover but that's one cute kitty. I don't think objects or belongings makes a person. It just shows ones likes. Cayla seems so eclectic, very cool.
What a fun guest post!!
I am addicted to cinnamon bears. They keep me awake too, so when I have to drive somewhere, and start getting drowsy, I just munch on the bears!!
Thanks!

My mom gave my cat my middle name in order to yell at her. You know, how your parents use your full name when they want you to do something or whatever?
So, my cat is Tasha Anne, when she's causing trouble, which is quite frequently.
Thank you Cayla. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who makes being single minded an art from. Yeah, it sucks that I'm always forgetting to answer messages, but then I forget what I was supposed to feel bad about and all is good again. LOL
I guess one thing that makes me uniquely me is that I don't really pay much attention to who drives what type of car or who has this or that. I don't much care all that material stuff.
One thing unique about me is I'm a very good judge of character.
Let's see, one unique thing about me. I can cross one eye. I mean like, you know how some people can cross both eyes. Well, one of my eyes can move, while the other eye stays still.
hmmmmm something unique about me? I left home two weeks after high school graduation to be a nanny in Boston. I grew up in North Dakota is a really small town, so that was a huge leap!
Something unique about me... well I'm not sure if this counts but I am a really great bellydancer. And I also am really good with giving good advice to my friends when they need me.
Thanks for the giveaway.

Ok. I love the whole CUJO supertall giraffe thing! I collect giraffes and have a three foot tall one that lives on the top of my bookcase so that my doggies can't "accidentally' eat it... Such a great thing to know I'm not alone!!
Unique...hmm...I'm not really sure what's unique about me. I guess I'm kindhearted and caring towards others. Compared to some of my selfish friends, I guess that's unique.
Thanks for the giveaway!
A unique thing about me, is the fact that I'm more about socks, the way most women are about shoes. I could care less about the name brand of the shoes I'm wearing, just as long as I've got awesome socks in all shapes, colors, and styles. ;)
Thank you, so much for this amazing giveaway.

I have double jointed elbows. It freaks people out sometimes.
My brother plays Assassin’s Creed. I've watched him played a couple times and it looks like a good game.
Something about me...I love my labradoodle.

Honestly? Telling right from left is SO overrated! There are tricks to use so it only bugs me when I have to give directions. :D
Oh and Nina is adorable!
Awesome giveaway! Regardless of me winning, I'll be checking this out! Thanks for the rec!
Something interesting? Everyone in my family swears I have a built-in GPS. It's nearly impossible for me to get lost, even when I'm in a city I've never been in.

I guess it could be that I don't get mad. It takes a lot to make me mad and I mean a lot! I'm able to brush little things off, shrug my shoulders and walk away, which says a lot coming from a family with great spanish tempers. I'm the opposite of them :)
Interesting thing about me: I like making lists.
~Kati R
Tic-Tacs make me hyper. One is okay, two is fun and three is waaaaay too many. Seriously. :-)
Unique thing about me would be that I can sing. I have been doing that since I was very young. Thanks for the giveaway!

Uniquely me? Hmm...well, if somebody tells me I am crazy (which people frequently do) my automatic response is. "Yeah, and?" but most of my siblings think like that too...hmm...Ah ha! Here's one: I knit for my grandmother instead of the other way around. :P
Thank you for the giveaway!
Tap shoes? Interesting...Free style is definitely more fun.
Other than my "creative imagination" and randomness, I am in love with art, whether it be literature (explains my obsession with books), music (more of listening than actually trying to kill someone by singing, and plain-old-markers-&-crayons art.
Hmm... one thing that makes me uniquely me is... I can't survive without coffee. I definitely need it in the morning to start my day; in the afternoon as a stress reliever and a wake-up call; and as a way to relax in the evenings, ususally with a good book.
Cayla, my pet, too, likes to take up all the bed. What is it about animals being bed/pillow hoggers?
I stick my feet out of the covers when I'm sleeping. weird.
lol
Vivien
One unique things about me is my name. My name is "Shadow". Thank you for the giveaway!
-Hmmm, one unique thing about me is that I tend to start a load of books, but I never finish them. I usually get distracted and start a whole different book. My friends are amazed when I tell them I actually finished a book.

Nina is so cute.
Something unique about me is I'm Isaiah and Sarah's mom!!! Well no one else is!!! :)

Hmmm, unique? Well I am Hispanic and obsessed with Korean and Taiwanese dramas. That's pretty unique, no?
This was a really interesting post and I liked learning about Cayla's quirks! :)
This book looks great!
hmmmm....what's unique about me.....
Well, I know how to bake bread by scratch and I've walked on a tightrope
This book looks amazing! Thanks for the awesome giveaway. :)
Hm, one unique thing about me....I'm completely obsessed with the Panopticon. It's a jail that was designed so one guard could theoretically see every inmate at all times, which produced all of these weird affects when tested on prisoners. That's probably also my nerdiest quality. :P
I don't know how unique this is, but I am a crazy fast reader. Some people wonder how I even understood what I read!
i have so much metal in my back that when i walk through a metal detector, the sensor goes off! :)haha!
Diana @The Lovely Getaway
ps. thank you so much for stopping by Missie's- WHEN I'M NOT READING post earlier today. Your kind words made me smile!
I'm happy to be alone as I am with someone, and have too much patience.
