Frannie Cavanaugh is a good Catholic girl with a bit of a wicked streak. She has spent years keeping everyone at a distance—-even her closest friends—-and it seems as if her senior year is going to be more of the same . . . until Luc Cain enrolls in her class. No one knows where he came from, but Frannie can’t seem to stay away from him.
What she doesn’t know is that Luc is on a mission. He’s been sent from Hell itself to claim Frannie’s soul. It should be easy—-all he has to do is get her to sin, and Luc is as tempting as they come. Frannie doesn’t stand a chance. But he has to work fast, because if the infernals are after her, the celestials can’t be far behind. And sure enough, it’s not long before the angel Gabriel shows up, willing to do anything to keep Luc from getting what he came for. It isn’t long before they find themselves fighting for more than just Frannie’s soul.
But if Luc fails, there will be Hell to pay . . . for all of them.
I'm in love with this book! The characters are great. Frannie - tough with a bit of a tortured past. She's got a nice balance of bad girl, good girl. And her inner dialogue is sassy and hysterical. Luc is FANTASTIC! Very sexy. I'm a sucker for the bad boys. -- In books. Not in real life. Okay, maybe a little in real life.
It's soo much fun reading how the bad boy starts softening as he falls for Frannie. You'd think that'd make him less attractive, but it just makes him hotter! And if Luc is charming and sexy, Gabriel is that sweet and understanding counterpart to the seductive demon. Not that Gabriel can't bring the heat when he needs to.
The plot is engaging and full of action, mystery, and twists and turns. At first I found it jarring, switching points of view from Frannie and Luc, but in the end I was loving it. Comparing their different takes, traveling to Hell with Luc, full of creepy creatures, then back to Frannie and her struggles between two awesome love choices. I would have preferred some of the mysteries to come together faster - like Frannie's mysterious past and secret powers - but the romance more than made up for that.

I am a sucker for the bad boys in books too...Not so much in life lol. I don't like getting burned. :)
(not that it matters. Ring on the left finger)
Good to know that its so wonderful. I bought this a while back and still haven't read it yet but hopefully I will soon.
Nice review :)
Not the book for me, I have been reading other reviews and I have a sneaking suspicion I would not like the book
Bad boys... Okay.. maybe a lot in RL. :P
And Yay! I have already read a lot of positive review for PD. I'm glad it still manages to get high rating regardless of the very intense love triangle.
why I haven't read this one yet is beyond me, but I need to soon. Thanks for showing the cover to book 2!
The switch of POVs is what's keeping me from buying the book. I don't know if I'll like it, but..I really am curious about this one!
Nice review.

Oh I've been wanting to get to this one for a long time. I need to read this series! Seriously! ;)
Hi Alyssa!
This one has been on my list for a while, just haven't had the time to pick it up, I've been missing out! I'll have to pick it up at B&N, sounds great, thanks for the recommendation!
Dottie :)
Looks like I'll have to move Personl Demons up on my TBR list.
It's only been sitting there since November...I think.
Maybe I'll make it my first post Lent Supernatural/Paranormal read.
Thanks for the great review. ^_^
