I shouldn't be writing.
They'll hurt you.
Now Kate has no choice but to prove once and for all that Grace’s death was more than just a tragic accident. But secrets haunt the halls of her elite private school. Secrets people will do anything to protect. Even if it means getting rid of the girl trying to solve a murder...
Looks like lots fun - and what about that cool cover? Lisa and Laura Roeker share an interesting story about the cover development. You can read the full story HERE - and you should. It's hysterical - Here's a tidbit...
"After we'd dried our tears and swore up and down that we'd NEVER write again we took a step back and tried really hard to be objective. We went back to the long list of over 300 votes in the cover contest and began analyzing the results.
- Our 12-year-old cousin who read The Liar Society just over a year ago and fell in love? Voted pink.
- The adorable 14-year-old book blogger who sent us an e-mail raving about Kate? Voted pink.
- Our 56-year-old mother who grounded us when we dyed our hair in high school? Did NOT vote pink.
Um, yes. Yes it was.
And that's when we realized two things:
1. We are OLD.
2. We are NOT the target market for this book."
You get the gist. Teens voted on it and wholeheartedly wanted pink hair on the model. Lisa and Laura balked because the main character, Kate, didn't have pink hair. However, the savvy ladies finally realized that they were not the demographic of the book. So instead of whining, they revised the book, giving Kate pink hair!

FYI - we're lucky enough to be part of Lisa's and Laura's tour. March 22 they will be here to do a vlog interview - sound fun right?
If you have any questions you'd like us to ask, put them in the comments and we may include them.
What are you waiting for?
And what do you think of the cover, and the story behind it?
