Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows Trailer

We love the new Harry Potter movie trailer and had to share!

Wish the movies were out sooner than November and then next summer. Seriously, they could have just made one movie if they cut out 90% of them traipsing through the woods FOREVER!

We love all things Harry Potter but what was up with a bazillion pages of them wandering and whining through the forest!

Oh, well, November can't come soon enough! In the meantime there's Eclipse and Airbender for us tomorrow, so look for the reviews soon!

Angel Star Jewelry

Books inspire jewelry? You bet!

Check out this line of jewelry inspired by Jennifer Murgia's Angel Star. Pretty stuff! The whole collection can be seen HERE!

Eclipse Opens!

It's HERE!!!!

We haven't seen it yet but hopefully tomorrow! How about you?

Do you think it's going to be better than New Moon? I do. Especially if Jacob keeps his shirt off for all (or at least most) of the film!

Remember to ENTER OUR CONTEST for the fan book, Bella Should Have Dumped Edward and take the fun Twilight Saga Quiz.

Enjoy some videos until you see the real thing!

A Novel of the Dark Elite
Chloe Neill
January 2011/Bloomsbury

Lily Parker is new to St. Sophia’s School for Girls, but she’s already learned that magic can be your best friend…or your worst enemy.

They say absolute power corrupts absolutely. Turns out, even a little magic can turn you to the dark side. That’s why Lily has to learn how to control her newly discovered paranormal abilities, on top of avoiding the snobs who think they run her school, nursing a crush on a cute sophomore with a big, werewolf-y secret, and fighting the good fight with her best friend Scout as they take on Chicago’s nastiest nightlife—including the tainted magic users known as Reapers.

Then Lily’s invited to a private meeting with Sebastian. He’s hot, powerful, and offering to help her harness the magic flowing in her veins in a way no one else can. He’s also a Reaper. Lily can’t hide her suspicions. But she’ll soon find out that the line between good and evil isn’t always clear…

Alexandra Adornetto
August 2010/Feiwel and Friends

Nothing much happens in the sleepy town of Venus Cove. But everything changes when three angels are sent from heaven to protect the town against the gathering forces of darkness: Gabriel, the warrior; Ivy, the healer; and Bethany, a teenage girl who is the least experienced of the trio.

They work hard to conceal their true identity and, most of all, their wings. But the mission is threatened when the youngest angel, Bethany, is sent to high school and falls in love with the handsome school captain, Xavier Woods. Will she defy the laws of Heaven by loving him?

Things come to a head when the angels realize they are not the only supernatural power in Venus Cove. There′s a new kid in town and he′s charming, seductive and deadly. Worst of all, he′s after Beth.

July 2010/Bloomsbury

Young and beautiful Violetta may be of royal blood, but her kingdom is in shambles when she arrives in London on a mysterious mission. Her journey has been long and her adventures many, but it is not until she meets the playwright William Shakespeare that she gets to tell the entire story from beginning to end.

Violetta and her comic companion, Feste, have come in search of an ancient holy relic that the evil Malvolio has stolen from their kingdom. But where will their remarkable quest—and their most unusual story—lead? A tale full of political intrigue, danger, and romance.

This wholly original story is spun from Shakespeare's
Twelfth Night, and includes both folly and suspense that would make the Bard proud.

pub: Aug 2010/Hyperion

Dancia Lewis is far from popular. And that's not just because of her average grades or her less-than-glamorous wardrobe. In fact, Dancia's mediocrity is a welcome cover for her secret: whenever she sees a person threatening someone she cares about, things just...happen. Cars skid. Structures collapse. Usually someone gets hurt.  So Dancia does everything possible to avoid getting close to anyone, belieiving this way she can supress her powers and keep them hidden.

But when recruiters from the prestigious Delcroix Academy show up in her living room to offer her a full scholarship, Dancia's days of living under the radar may be over. Only, Delcroix is a school for diplomats' kids and child geniuses--not B students with uncontrollable telekinetic tendencies.  So why are they treating Dancia like she's special? Even the hottest guy on campus seems to be going out of his way to make Dancia feel welcome. And then there's her mysterious new friend Jack, who can't stay out of trouble. He suspects something dangerous is going on at the Academy and wants Dancia to help him figure out what.

But Dancia isn't convinced. She hopes that maybe the recruiters know more about her "gift" than they're letting on. Maybe they can help her understand how to use it...But not even Dancia could have imagined what awaits her behind the gates of Delcroix Academy

Paranormalcy Pub Date Moved Up!

Good News! The publication date for the highly anticipated teen fiction, Paranormalcy by Kiersten White has been moved up from Oct to Aug. 31st! It looks like a good one!
Summary:
Sixteen-year-old Evie's job is bagging and tagging paranormals. Possessing the strange ability to see through their glamours, she works for the International Paranormal Containment Agency. But when someone--or something--starts taking out the vamps, werewolves, and other odd beasties she's worked hard to help become productive members of society, she's got to figure it out before they all disappear and the world becomes utterly normal.

Normal is so overrated.

Alyssa's Reading...

The Reckoning
by Kelley Armstrong (page 11)

There was no where to run. I considered screaming. I've always hated that in movies - heroines who scream for help when cornered - but right now, caught between a broken-bottle-wielding poltergeist and a two-story fall, I could survive the humiliation of being rescued.

Problem was, no one would get here in time.

Gregory's reading...

by Patrick Carman (page 5)

I'll find anyone you want, sometimes the most dangerous people on earth. Because here's the thing about the digital age: everyone leaves a trail.

Some of them shouldn't be followed.

Jake's reading...

by Jason Henderson (page 37)

She flipped over, scuttling along the wall, her head whipping around, and he watched her white eyes sweep directly toward him. She opened her mouth - fangs again, like the one in the woods - and hissed angrily. Then before he had a chance to blink, she leapt for him.

What's your teaser?

The Reckoning
by Kelley Armstrong

Only two weeks ago, life was all too predictable. But that was before I saw my first ghost. Now, along with my supernatural friends Tori, Derek, and Simon, I’m on the run from the Edison Group, which genetically altered us as part of their sinister experiment. We’re hiding in a safe house that might not be as safe as it seems. We’ll be gone soon anyway, back to rescue those we’d left behind and to take out the Edison Group . . . or so we hope.

It's time to enter the last story of the house.

There were things that seemed odd when the Kings first moved into their new house--but things got really strange when they realized the rooms upstairs were portals to other worlds. Even though the rooms were dangerous, it still seemed fun until people starting coming into the house and Mom was kidnapped. They've been desperately searching for her, but they risk their lives every time they enter a world.

Xander has traveled back to visit Uncle Jesse as a boy, but that turns out to be the last place Xander wants to be. Jesse tells him David died. But Xander's not about to let that happen--even if it already did. It doesn't matter how many worlds he has to go to or what it takes, he is going to find a way to change the future.

I’d love a cup of coffee. I wish she knew how pretty she was. I wish I could drop this kid in the dryer sometimes. I just want her to be happy. I hope she didn’t find out what Ben said about her. I wish I knew how many calories were in a bite of muffin…

Joy is used to hearing Whispers. She’s used to walking down the street and instantly knowing people’s deepest, darkest desires. She uses this talent for good, to make people happy and give them what they want. But for her older sister, Jessica, the family gift is a curse, and she uses it to make people’s lives—especially Joy’s—miserable. Still, when Joy Hears a frightening whisper from Jessica's own mind, she knows she has to save her sister, even if it means deserting her friends, stealing a car and running away with a boy she barely knows—a boy who may have a dark secret of his own.

What treasures were in your mailbox?
