Crescendo Cover Reveal!

Ta Da!

The Big Reveal!

And here's the chalk drawing of the cover for Crescendo, author Becca Fitzpatrick's sequel to the popular teen fiction novel Hush Hush that I saw on the Fallen Angel Fan site.

It doesn't have the 'wow' factor of the first one. The dress is awfully plain. I like that she is looking back so we don't see her face. The lightning and rain is good. Ditto the red feather but... where's Patch?

I've read comments that say, "This one is Nora's story," so that's why the cover focus is on her. However, I'll confess that while I liked Nora well enough, the big draw for me is sexy Patch. Am I the only one?

The Crescendo cover is okay. Sorry, better than okay, it's really good, but when compared to the first book... No where near the quality and impact of Hush Hush which has such movement and drama. I realize they had a lot to live up to but, gotta say, I'm a bit disappointed. That said, I'm dying to read the book!

Book Summary:

Nora should have know her life was far from perfect. Despite starting a relationship with her guardian angel, Patch (who, title aside, can be described anything but angelic), and surviving an attempt on her life, things are not looking up. Patch is starting to pull away and Nora can't figure out if it's for her best interest or if his interest has shifted to her arch-enemy Marcie Millar. Not to mention that Nora is haunted by images of her father and she becomes obsessed with finding out what really happened to him that night he left for Portland and never came home.

The farther Nora delves into the mystery of her father's death, the more she comes to question if her Nephilim blood line has something to do with it as well as why she seems to be in danger more than the average girl. Since Patch isn't answering her questions and seems to be standing in her way, she has to start finding the answers on her own. Relying too heavily on the fact that she has a guardian angel puts Nora at risk again and again. But can she really count on Patch or is he hiding secrets darker than she can even imagine?

Coming out November 16, 2010!

O I love it. I love how it ties in with the first cover.

You are not the only one! When I read this book it was because of Patch...not Nora.
Anyway, this cover, as you say, does not have the WOW factor, but I think it was very hard to make one that was better that hush, hush.

I tried not to get my hopes up - how could you top the last one? I agree though, would be much better with Patch, but is good with the rain.

I really like this cover! I think the title fits well with the model's pose and the lightning.

I really like it but I agree that the first one is so much better. That's a tough act to follow though. If I had seen Crescendo's cover by itself I would like it even more but it's different to compare the two. They do tie in nicely and I like the simple red accents.

The cover for Hush, Hush grabbed my attention immediately and is one of my favorites. I read an article that they used a model jumping on a trampoline to get the initial image. Such a simple idea and it worked so well. Your description of it having more movement and drama is so true!

I kinda like the cover, but I do agree... where's Patch?? Does that worry me? A little. We'll have to wait and see. *taps fingers impatiently* Love the chalk drawing of the cover. Props to the artist. :)

I agree with you...Patch totally made the story *sigh* Oh Patch!!! Nora got on my nerves A LOT, but oh well. We'll sucked in no matter what because of our boy : )

Anyways, I'm mentioning you on my blog for a blog hop/6 degrees of blogging thing.

HAPPY readings!!!

LOL....no, you're not the only one that loves Patch. I do happen to like the cover though despite his absence. It fits perfectly with the one we've already come to love. I've got my calendar marked for this one's release...is it November yet? Happy reading...

I was kinda wondering what the sequel would be about. Everything seemed so well wrapped up at the end of Hush,Hush.
The cover looks okay, not amazing, but not totally boring either. For some reason, I always pictured it being red, but I guess it just makes since to keep the same colors as the first one.

The cover is awesome! I'm sad to say I still have to read Hush, Hush... I'm still not really sure if I want to go back into that genre after Twilight scarred me, haha ^_^

It's a beautiful cover. But I'm with you. That book is all about Patch, and he's the one people love. I'm sure I'll still read it and love it though!

Not a fan. It's okay, but it doesn't live up the first by any means.
