Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Marg and Eva that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries!
I just picked up a couple of good ones!
In Mary's world, there are simple truths. The Sisterhood always knows best. The Guardians will protect and serve. The Unconsecrated will never relent. But Mary's truths are failing her. She's learning things she never wanted to know. And, when the fence is breached and her world is thrown into chaos, she mush choose between her village and her future, between the one she loves and the one who loves her.
Seventeen-year-old techno-geek “w1n5t0n” (aka Marcus) bypasses the school’s gait-recognition system by placing pebbles in his shoes, chats secretly with friends on his IMParanoid messaging program, and routinely evades school security with his laptop, cell, WifFnder, and ingenuity. While skipping school, Markus is caught near the site of a terrorist attack on San Francisco and held by the Department of Homeland Security for six days of intensive interrogation. After his release, he vows to use his skills to fight back against an increasingly frightening system of surveillance.

I've heard good things about both from other book bloggers, so you should enjoy them, Alyssa. I look forward to seeing what you have to say about them.
Off to read the review of The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian, one of the more popular reviews on my own site, to see what you all thought of it.
Nice finds! I look forward to your reviews. :)
Another book trailer... woot!
- Yes I've heard good things about these books too. Alexie's book is a family favorite - we've all read it. And he is the best speaker I have ever heard. Go see him if you get the chance.
Jessica - Have you read either one?
Sara - I love book trailers! The only thing I don't like about this one is that we see the main character. I like it when they leave it up to my imagination. How about you?
Hi Alyssa,
You've been tagged!

Thanks Lori. I think. Uh, I've been what? I'll check that out!
I've seen The Forest of Hands and Teeth all over recently; it's sounding better and better each time I see it! Is Little Brother a graphic novel?
The Forest of Hands And Teeth is awesome, I can't wait to read your review on it. Those pages will turn so fast, OMG.
Both of these authors are ones that I would like to try eventually. I must confess that with news of Carrie Ryan's next book coming out I am thinking hard about picking this one soon!
The Ryan book sounds so good, I am sure you will enjoy it a lot
Eva - Little Brother is a regular novel, not graphic. I read the opening pages and loved it. Jake is reading it now and so far it's a thumbs up!
April - my fingers are already smoking!
Marg - so far I recommend it highly!
Blodeuedd - (okay, I know you're from Finland but what do I call you?) Yes, I love this kind of book. Hope it continues to live up to the hype!
Everyone, thanks for visiting!
I had The Forest of Hands and Teeth in my hands but then I ended up setting it down. I'll be interested in hearing your thoughts on it when you finish!
I'm just starting, Samantha, so I'll let you know!
